Why choose VSC for weight loss?

VSC is a clinician-led weight management service. Every patient is assessed by a UK-registered prescriber before any treatment is considered, and anything prescribed is dispensed by our GPhC-registered pharmacy partner.

We don't do automatic approvals. Your consultation looks at your medical history, your current health and what you've already tried. From there, your clinical team stays involved — reviewing your plan, monitoring how you're getting on, and adjusting where needed.

How does the VSC consultation work?

You start with a free online assessment covering your health history, current medications and weight management goals. It takes around ten minutes.

A UK-registered prescriber reviews your answers, along with your ID and BMI verification. If they need more information, they'll ask before making any decision.

If treatment is clinically appropriate, your prescriber will discuss a personalised plan with you. If it isn't, they'll tell you why and what may help instead. Nothing is charged unless treatment is approved.

How does medically supervised weight management work?

Medically supervised weight management starts with a clinical assessment rather than a product. A prescriber reviews your health history, your BMI and any related conditions to understand what's appropriate for you.

Where a clinician considers prescription treatment suitable, it forms one part of a wider plan alongside dietary change, activity and regular review. Treatment is never the whole answer, and it isn't right for everyone.

Your prescriber will explain what they're recommending, why, and what to expect — including side effects and what to do about them.

How does VSC keep treatment safe?

Safety sits in the process, not in reassurance. Every patient is assessed by a UK-registered prescriber, with ID and BMI verified before any clinical decision. Anything prescribed is dispensed by a GPhC-registered pharmacy.

Your prescriber reviews your full medical history, including existing conditions and medications, to check for anything that would make treatment unsuitable.

Once you start, dosage changes are clinician-approved rather than automatic, and side effects are monitored at each review.

If treatment stops being right for you, we'll say so.

What support will I receive?

Structured check-ins with your clinical team, at intervals set around your plan rather than a fixed calendar.

Between reviews you can message our clinicians through your account about side effects, dosage questions or anything that isn't working. You'll also have guidance on nutrition, activity and the habits that make weight management hold over time.

Support continues whether or not medication is part of your plan.

How much does treatment at VSC cost?

Your initial assessment is free, and nothing is charged unless a prescriber approves treatment.

If treatment is approved, your prescriber will set out your plan and its full cost before anything is taken — including what's included, what happens at review, and what changes if your plan changes. No hidden fees, no automatic renewals you haven't agreed to.

Full pricing for your personalised plan is confirmed in your account after clinical review.

How quickly can I start?

Most assessments are reviewed within 2-4 hours. If your prescriber needs more information, they'll message you through your account.

Once treatment is approved and dispensed, delivery is typically 1-2 working days.

How weight management progresses varies from person to person, and depends on your starting point, your health history and how your plan is adapted over time. Your clinician will talk you through what's realistic for you.

How does VSC’s weight loss programme differ from others?

Three things. Clinical decisions are made by UK-registered prescribers, not by an algorithm approving whoever completes a form. Your plan is reviewed and adjusted as you go, rather than set once and repeated. And support continues regardless of what's prescribed.
